Functions

Within SOLID, we have 5 sub-teams, within which we have defined several key functions, fulltime and parttime, which will be needed for a successful year. These 5 sub-teams are the Technical, Business, Marketing, HR and Finance team with a Team Captain overseeing everything. Within each subteam one or multiple fulltime (management) functions are available, while the available parttime functions will serve as the driving force behind the team.

Below a schematic overview can be seen of all functions within SOLID 2020-2021. These functions can however always be subject to change to better fit personal interests and skills.

 

 

TEAM CAPTAIN

The Team Captain is responsible for the overall strategy, vision and mission of SOLID. The Team Captain takes the initiative in determining the identity and direction of SOLID. In addition, the Team Captain represents SOLID to external parties. The Team Captain facilitates a pleasant working atmosphere and a good workethos.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

TECHNICAL MANAGER

The technical team is responsible for developing and building SOLID’s technical systems, together with its technical partners. As SOLID’s projects vary widely, the technical team needs al sorts of engineers: mechanical, chemical, electrical and more.

 

Ideally, next to the part-timers, the technical team would have 3-4 full-time members:

Technical manager

Part of the management team, responsible for the vision, planning and functioning of  the technical team. The technical manager would also concern him- or herself with (new) future project opportunities.

Project leaders

SOLID takes part in at least two, and possibly three big technical projects next year (choice for team of 2020-2021). Each project needs its own technical leader. These leaders are responsible for the final technical systems, oversee and delegate the technical tasks within their projects and are the main contact for the projects’ technical partners.

 
 

BUSINESS TEAM

The Business team is responsible for researching the possible applications of SOLID’s technical systems and Metal Fuels in general. It also manages partner contact and searches for new business opportunities.

 

Ideally, next to the part-timers, the business team would have three full-time members:

Business manager

Part of the management team, responsible for the vision, planning and functioning of the business team. The business manager would also concern him- or herself with finding new opportunities and potential future partners.

 

Business analyst

Mainly concerns him- or herself with market research; analyses what our economy, society and industries need.

Legal affairs

As metal fuels technology is new technology, various chances for intellectual property rights might come along. Moreover, the world of contracts is a complicated and dangerous one. So SOLID is in desperate need of someone to deal with these affairs.

 

 

MARKETING TEAM

The Marketing team is responsible for SOLID’s communication to the general public and external parties. This includes designing and maintaining the corporate identity, organizing and attending events, maintaining the social media channels, the design of merchandise and making sure that SOLID communicates a clear and concise message.

 

Ideally, next to the part-timers, the marketing team would have 2 full-time members:

Marketing manager​​

Part of the management team, responsible for the vision, planning and functioning of the marketing team.

Marketeer

Responsible for various tasks of the marketing team, depending on the strengths of this person. Available for last minute tasks that part-timers are not be able to handle due to courses.​​

 

 

HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM

The HR team is responsible for maintaining a good atmosphere within SOLID, creating an efficient workflow, preventing stress and ensuring continuity for the SOLID identity. Next to that, the HR team is also in charge of recruiting and coaching new members.

 

Ideally, next to the part-timer(s), the HR team would have one full-time member:

HR manager

Part of the management team, responsible for the vision, planning and functioning of the HR team. The HR manager is also responsible for making the management aware of potential personal situations in the team, if needed.

 

 

FINANCE TEAM

The Finance Team is responsible for the financial administration of SOLID and it ensures that all subsidies  and other money flows are handled well. This entails spending and budgeting the subsidies but also creating the final reports of all subsidies.

 

Ideally the Finance team would consist of one full-time member:

Finance manager
